What are your responsibilities?

Determine how the patient will be provided. (Ground ambulance or air ambulance)
Determine what type of medical personnel is required for the transport.
Determine what type of medical equipment or medication is required for the transport.
Determine if the patient transport if a “medical necessity” based upon recommendation of the patient’s attending physician.
e. Interview prospective non-emergency ambulance providers for licensing, medical personnel and equipment availability, and costs.
